Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate - Erfoud (313 km)
Upon landing at Ouarzazate airport, our driver will greet you for your journey toward Merzouga. Traveling in a 4x4, we head through the breathtaking palm groves of Tinghir and the dramatic Todra Gorges, where cliffs rise up to 300 meters high.
Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive through the High Atlas before entering the arid landscapes leading to the Sahara. We'll stop at our guide's family home for a warm traditional dinner.
Overnight in a riad in Erfoud.
Day 2: Erfoud - Gara Medouar - Merzouga
Morning exploration of Erfoud, a historic city known as the "Capital of Fossils." Discover its rich Arab-Berber heritage and visit a fossil workshop.
Then, continue to Gara Medouar (also known as the Portuguese Prison), a unique horseshoe-shaped geological formation with fascinating history.
In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga for a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch an unforgettable Sahara sunset before settling into a luxury desert camp. Enjoy music, campfire stories, and a star-filled sky.
Day 3: Full Day in the Desert
After breakfast, explore the surrounding desert in a 4x4. Visit a nomadic Berber family to learn traditional weaving, cooking, and desert living skills. Continue to Khamlia, a village famous for its Gnawa music and dance.
We then head to Hassi Labied Oasis, a green haven amidst the dunes, and learn about its unique irrigation system. Optional activities such as quad biking or dune buggies are available.
Overnight in a riad in Merzouga with music and stargazing.
Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Kelaa M'Gouna - Ouarzazate
Drive to Rissani, home to a vibrant traditional market offering spices, handicrafts, and local produce. Continue through Kelaa M'Gouna, the heart of Morocco's Rose Valley, where rosewater products are made.
In Ouarzazate, visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the legendary Atlas Studios, filming location for movies like Star Wars and Game of Thrones.
Time permitting, visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Ouarzazate airport for your onward journey.
