Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech - Welcome to the Red City
Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, our driver will greet you warmly and transfer you to your riad in the heart of the city. After check-in, take time to rest and refresh after your journey.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a first stroll through the Medina. Marrakech, known as the Red City, is one of Morocco most iconic destinations, famous for Jemaa el-Fna square, traditional souks, ancient alleyways, lush gardens and stunning Moroccan architecture.
This is the perfect introduction to Moroccan culture and the first chapter of your 10 day Morocco itinerary. Overnight in Marrakech at Riad & Spa Bahia Salam.
Day 2: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley
After breakfast, we leave Marrakech heading south through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. We cross the Tizi n Tichka Pass, one of Morocco most famous mountain routes, where you will admire breathtaking landscapes of towering peaks, deep valleys and traditional Berber villages along the way. We make several stops for photos and panoramic views.
After crossing the mountains, we arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco most important historical landmarks. You will have time to walk inside this ancient fortified village built of earth and clay, discovering its traditional architecture and fascinating history. Once a key stop for trade caravans crossing the Sahara, it has also served as a filming location for many international movies.
We continue through Ouarzazate and towards the Dades Valley, one of the most beautiful regions of southern Morocco, famous for its red rock formations and spectacular landscapes. Overnight in Dades Valley at Riad Sahara Stars Dades.
Day 3: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert (Camel Trek & Sunset)
After breakfast, we leave Dades Valley heading towards the Merzouga desert. Along the way we visit the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco most stunning natural areas, characterized by enormous rock walls rising dramatically on either side of the valley. It is the ideal place to walk, admire nature and take stunning photographs.
We continue the journey through Berber villages and desert landscapes until we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. Here the true desert experience begins: you will embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes, pausing to witness one of the most beautiful moments of your Morocco private tour, a spectacular sunset in the Sahara.
After sunset, you reach the luxury desert camp where a traditional dinner awaits, followed by music around the campfire under a canopy of stars. Overnight in a luxury desert camp in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Exploration - 4x4 Excursion & Nomad Culture
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the sand dunes, one of the most unforgettable experiences of any Morocco desert tour from Marrakech. After breakfast, we embark on a private 4x4 excursion to discover the secrets of the Merzouga region and the culture of its inhabitants.
During the excursion we visit the village of Khamlia to experience traditional Gnawa music and learn about the local culture. We then explore nomadic settlements to discover their way of life and ancient traditions, visit desert oases and surrounding villages, and admire the natural landscapes around the dunes.
This day reveals the authentic face of the desert: not just sand, but also the people, culture and history that make the Sahara so captivating. Overnight in Merzouga at Riad Chebbi.
Day 5: Merzouga - Relaxation & Desert Discovery
After breakfast, enjoy a full day dedicated to relaxation and unhurried discovery of the Merzouga area. This is your chance to slow down and truly absorb the beauty and tranquility of the Sahara desert.
You can relax at the riad, take short walks around the dunes, or dive deeper into local culture and the daily life of Saharan communities. Merzouga is not just about sand dunes; it is a region rich in traditions, music, craftsmanship and stories that reflect the culture of southern Morocco.

Day 6: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we leave Merzouga heading towards Ouarzazate along a route rich in diverse landscapes. We cross the Draa Valley, the largest palm oasis in Morocco, a historic region dotted with ancient kasbahs and traditional Berber villages.
In the past, the Draa Valley was an important route for trade caravans connecting southern Morocco with other regions of Africa. We make several stops along the way to admire the scenery and take photographs of this breathtaking landscape.
At the end of the day we arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco thanks to its famous film studios and the stunning cinematic landscapes that surround it. Overnight in Ouarzazate at Hotel Palm View Palace.
Day 7: Ouarzazate - Ouzoud Waterfalls
After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate heading towards one of Morocco most beautiful natural attractions: the Ouzoud Waterfalls. During the journey the scenery gradually transitions from the dry southern regions to greener mountainous areas.
Upon arrival at the Ouzoud Waterfalls, you will discover some of the tallest and most famous waterfalls in Morocco, where water cascades from a great height surrounded by lush vegetation and ancient olive groves. The contrast between the arid landscapes of previous days and this green oasis is truly remarkable.
You will have plenty of time to walk around the falls, enjoy the panoramic views, take photographs and soak in the peaceful natural atmosphere. Keep an eye out for the Barbary macaques that often play near the waterfalls. Overnight in Ouzoud at Kasbah Natifa.
Day 8: Ouzoud Waterfalls - Marrakech
After breakfast, we leave the Ouzoud area heading back towards Marrakech. During the drive you will admire the landscapes of the Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will have free time to explore the city according to your interests. You can visit Jemaa el-Fna square, the traditional souks, the Medina, or simply enjoy the authentic Moroccan atmosphere from a rooftop terrace.
This is your first taste of free exploration in the Red City, with the comfort of knowing you still have another full day ahead. Overnight in Marrakech at Riad Dar Al Amane.
Day 9: Free Day in Marrakech - Explore at Your Own Pace
After breakfast, enjoy a full free day to discover Marrakech at your own pace. The Red City offers endless possibilities: wander through the labyrinthine Medina, shop for souvenirs and handicrafts in the traditional souks, or visit historical monuments such as the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the stunning Ben Youssef Madrasa.
You may also want to explore the serene Majorelle Gardens, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, or visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech whose minaret dominates the city skyline. Food lovers can sample authentic Moroccan cuisine at a local restaurant or venture into the food stalls at Jemaa el-Fna.

Day 10: Departure - Farewell to Morocco
