Day 1: Arrival To Tangier
Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival, we take you to Tangier for a short city tour, exploring the fascinating blend of African, European, and Arab cultures. After the tour, we drop you off at your hotel in the historic Medina. Overnight in traditional riad.
Day 2: Tangier โ Chefchaouen
Today we continue our journey toward Chefchaouen, crossing the scenic Rif Mountains and enjoying the wonderful views this mountain chain offers.
In Chefchaouen, we have a guided tour of the city famous for its blue and white lime-washed houses. Explore the charming medina, visit local artisan shops, and soak in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Overnight in local riad/hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen โ Volubilis โ Meknes โ Fes
After breakfast, we depart for Fes, first visiting Moulay Idriss, an important religious site in Morocco. We continue to Volubilis, an archaeological site featuring the best-preserved Roman ruins in northern Africa (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997).
We head to Meknes where we visit the famous gates of Bab el-Mansour and Bab el Khamis, along with the royal stables and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Fes for overnight accommodation.
Day 4: Fes Guided Tour
This day is dedicated to exploring Fes, one of the oldest imperial cities. Fes was Morocco's capital for more than 400 years and remains the religious and cultural center of the country.
We discover the extraordinary medina El Bali, the Merenid Tombs, Royal Palace, Medersa Bou-Inania or Attarine, the places Nejarine with its splendid mosaic fountain, the famous tanneries, Al Qaraouine University, and the Mellah (Jewish quarter). Overnight in local riad.
Day 5: Fes โ Midelt โ Erfoud โ Merzouga
Today we continue toward Merzouga, enjoying beautiful views of the Mid-Atlas Mountains. We drive through cedar forests and gorgeous towns like Ifrane and Azrou, where we might encounter Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, we cross the High Atlas mountains and drive through the spectacular Ziz Gorges. We arrive at the famous dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) where we enjoy camel trekking at sunset and stay overnight in luxury nomad tents under the stars.
Day 6: Merzouga โ Todra โ Dades Valley
We wake up early to watch the magical sunrise over the Merzouga dunes before continuing toward Boumalen Dades. En route to Tinghir, we pass through Jorf and Tinjdad.
We explore the impressive Todra Gorges with their towering canyon walls. After lunch in this beautiful area, we depart for Boumalen Dades in the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, where we stay overnight.
Day 7: Dades Valley โ Ouarzazate
In the early morning, we depart to the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual rose festival. We continue our journey to Ouarzazate through the Skoura oasis.
We visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most attractive and beautiful sites in southern Morocco. There is also an opportunity to visit the movie studios of Ouarzazate, known as Moroccan Hollywood. Overnight in local riad/hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate โ Marrakech
Today we continue to Marrakech, one of the four imperial cities. En route, we stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah and famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
We continue toward Marrakech, passing through the highest road pass in North Africa via the Tizi n Tichka pass. In Marrakech, you have the afternoon to explore independently. Overnight in local riad in the medina.
Day 9: Marrakech Guided Tour
Today we explore Marrakech's highlights including the Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs, and El Bahia Palace. We visit the intricate Ben Youssef Madrasa and explore the colorful souks.
In the afternoon, we visit the famous Djemaa el Fnaa square with its snake charmers, storytellers, and food stalls. We also explore the peaceful Majorelle Gardens and Menara Gardens. Overnight in riad.
Day 10: Marrakech โ Agadir
We leave Marrakech and drive to the seaside resort of Agadir. You have the day to explore the city or relax on the beautiful Atlantic beaches. Agadir offers modern amenities, a bustling souk, and excellent seafood restaurants.
In the evening, enjoy the beachfront promenade and experience Agadir's vibrant nightlife. Overnight in beachfront hotel.
Day 11: Agadir โ Essaouira
Today we continue toward Essaouira (formerly called Mogador), a charming coastal city ideal for fishing, windsurfing, and kite surfing. The harbor is a delightful area filled with colorful boats decorated by local fishermen.
Explore the UNESCO-listed medina with its Portuguese and French colonial architecture, visit art galleries, and enjoy fresh seafood at the harbor. The city is famous for its Gnawa music and argan oil cooperatives. Overnight in riad.
Day 12: Essaouira โ Casablanca
Today we continue to Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital. We take the scenic coastal road, stopping en route at Safi (famous for pottery) and El Jadida (Portuguese colonial city).
In Casablanca, you have free time to discover the city independently. Explore the modern downtown area, Art Deco architecture, and bustling markets. Overnight in local hotel.
Day 13: Casablanca โ Rabat
Today we visit Casablanca's highlights including Place Mohamed V, Parc de la Ligue Arabe, and the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world with its stunning oceanside location.
In the afternoon, we drive to Rabat, one of the four imperial cities and Morocco's current capital. We visit the Hassan Tower (minaret begun in 1195) and the marble Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Overnight in local hotel.
Day 14: Rabat โ Asilah
In the morning, we depart for Asilah, one of the most beautiful old cities in Morocco. This peaceful beach village on the Atlantic coast is known as an intimate, sophisticated introduction to Morocco.
The town features Mediterranean-influenced buildings with whitewashed houses and blue accents, galleries lining narrow streets, and beautiful murals created during the annual arts festival. Overnight in small local riad.
Day 15: Asilah โ Tangier
After breakfast, we drive back to Tangier. We visit some final interesting places including the Kasbah, Cap Spartel (where Atlantic and Mediterranean meet), and the famous Hercules Caves.
We transfer you to the port or airport before your scheduled departure, concluding this comprehensive 15-day journey through Morocco's imperial heritage, diverse landscapes, and rich cultural traditions.
